Arsenal Fan Faces Difficulty Identifying Current First-Team Player During Squad’s Departure from London Hotel

An Arsenal enthusiast faced difficulty recognizing one of the club’s key players as the team departed from a London hotel. Following their 2-0 triumph over Brighton, featuring goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, Arsenal secured the top spot in the Premier League, a position retained due to Liverpool’s goalless draw with United.

Footage posted on Sunday captured several Arsenal players, including Declan Rice and Oleksandr Zinchenko, leaving a London Hilton Hotel. Among them was defender Cedric Soares. However, a particular Arsenal fan, as seen in the clip, struggled to identify the Portuguese right-back, exclaiming, “Who’s that?” Although noteworthy, others around the hotel recognized all three players.

Cedric has seen limited action for the Gunners this season, with his most recent appearance involving a 60-minute stint in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with PSV last week, part of a significantly altered lineup. His earlier contribution was a brief four-minute cameo in the Carabao Cup victory over Brentford in September.

Despite initial indications of a potential departure from the Emirates Stadium in January, the recent injury to Takehiro Tomiyasu could alter these plans. Sources suggest that Spanish club Villarreal is keen on acquiring the Portuguese defender in January and is poised to initiate talks. Unnamed Turkish clubs also reportedly express interest.

Cedric’s contract at the Emirates Stadium concludes next summer, allowing him to explore pre-contract negotiations with European clubs starting next month. The decision regarding whether Arsenal intends to part ways with him in January or retain him to address defensive shortages until the end of the season remains uncertain.
